Vivo’s V series is known for its premium-looking design, and Vivo V40 also features a beautiful design. The phone’s back is made of glass with a fluorite anti-glare film that resists fingerprint smudges, comes with a glass front with Schott Xensation Alpha Glass protection, and has a plastic frame, which should be metal according to the price category. It has a protruding vertical pill-shaped camera module with a large top ring featuring cameras, and the lower half possesses an LED flash and an Aura light.

Vivo 40 has a 6.78-inch 3D curved center-punch-hole AMOLED touchscreen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR 10+. It has small side bezels and a chin at the bottom with a 90.1% screen-to-body ratio.
