Design, Display

Redmi 12 comes with a simple, beautiful design and gives a premium look. It has a boxy body with a flat screen, frame & edges, and slightly rounded corners, designed to enhance the gripping experience and also protect the device against accidental drops. On the back side, it features three camera rings and an LED Flash. It comes with a plastic frame, a premium glass back, and a glass front with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Redmi 12 has a center punch hole display, with a large bezel and a slightly larger chin at the bottom. It comes with a 6.79-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with an adaptive 90 Hz refresh rate and pixel density of 396 ppi. It has a peak brightness level up to 550 nits and comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone comes with IP53 dust-tight and splash resistance technology, which means it will withstand accidental water splashes only and is not fully waterproof.

Performance and Software

The processor installed in the Redmi 12 is the MediaTek Helio G88 (12-nanometer 4G Chip) with a Mali G52 MC2 GPU. It is an entry-level processor that is widely used in budget-friendly devices.
